“Smile of Cambodia” is a tourism campaign launched by the Cambodian government to showcase the country’s warm hospitality and friendly locals. The campaign aims to promote Cambodia as an attractive destination for tourists, highlighting its diverse cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and unique experiences.
From the ancient temples of Angkor Wat to tranquil beaches of Sihanoukville, Cambodia offers a range of attractions for visitors to explore. The campaign also emphasizes the positive impact of tourism on local communities, encouraging visitors to engage with Cambodian people and support sustainable tourism practices.
With its rich history, breathtaking natural beauty, and welcoming smiles, Cambodia truly lives up to its reputation as the “Smile of Cambodia.”
Destination’s Activities
Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh - Sunset Cruise
Arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to Phnom Penh Town, check into the hotel, and relax. In the late afternoon, visit Wat Phnom, the city’s first pagoda, and enjoy a 1h20mn Sunset cruise on the Mekong River. Disembark, visit the night market, and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Phnom Penh City Tours
Start your city tour with a visit to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum. Spend time at the Russian Markets. In the afternoon, visit the Victory Monument, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and Central Market. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 3: Phnom Penh - Silk Island
After breakfast, visit Silk Island for a village tour. Explore silk production, enjoy a local lunch by the Mekong River, and return to the city for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Phnom Penh - Oudong Mountain
Visit the Ancient City of Mt. Oudong, stop at the Silver Smith Making Village, and climb to the summit for a breathtaking view. Enjoy local lunch and return to the city for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Battambang
Check out and transfer to Battambang (~5 hours). Stop at the Silver Smith village and pottery village. Check into the hotel and discover Battambang, including the Provincial Museum. Enjoy a Bamboo Train ride and witness bats leaving caves. Overnight in Battambang.

Day 6: Battambang - Siem Reap
Visit Wat Kor village and join a local livelihoods tour. Check out and leave for Siem Reap. Check into the hotel upon arrival. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 7: Siem Reap - Angkor Archaeological Park
Explore Angkor Thom, Bayon temple, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - City Tour - Departure
Visit Kampong Pluck Village on Tonle Sap Lake. In the afternoon, visit Wat Bo Temple, Khmer Ceramics & Fine Arts Centre, Les Artisans d’ Angkor, and T-Gallery. Leisure time until check-out and transfer to the airport for departure.
